Fears historic quay could be lost without repairs

Gorran Haven’s 1886 quay has been damaged by winter storms and needs urgent repairs to protect fishing, tourism and nearby historic buildings.
A £120,000 fundraising drive is under way — about £91,500 is already available (£40,000 ringfenced + £51,500 raised), but more is needed before work must start in October.
Villagers call the quay the “heart” of the community and warn losing it would hit homes, local businesses and the harbour life hard.
