Injured peregrine falcon rescued from cliff rocks
- Brixham fisherman Tristan Northway found a waterlogged, injured year-old peregrine on rocks near Berry Head and took it to The Cove Discovery Project for help.
- Rescuers think it may have been attacked (possibly by a dominant female) and also spat on by defensive fulmars, leaving it oiled, exhausted and with damaged feathers.
- The protected peregrine—once decimated in the 1960s and famous for diving at about 200 mph—is being rehabilitated with the hope of release back into the wild.
