Dodgers co-owners Todd Boehly and Mark Walter have discussed selling their 12.8% stakes in Chelsea (they and Hansjörg Wyss paid £2.5B in 2022 alongside majority owner Clearlake).
Walter just flipped his majority stake in the Lakers—buying the Buss family’s control for $10B in 2025 and selling to Bob Iger and Josh Kushner for $12.5B—so he’s been active in big sports deals.
Even if they sell Chelsea, they’d still control the Dodgers (valued at $7.8B and recent back-to-back World Series champs), and Boehly keeps a European foothold as an investor in RC Strasbourg, which signed USMNT midfielder Gio Reyna.
