Iran grants permission for a number of Iraqi oil tankers to pass through Hormuz

Iran has allowed some Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz after repeated requests from Baghdad.
Traffic in the strait is still well below pre-war levels and ships remain at risk from attacks, complicating exports.
Iraq is diversifying routes — boosting shipments via Turkey’s Ceyhan and planning exports through Syria’s Baniyas and Jordan’s Aqaba.
