Video game makers really don't want to give their customers tariff refunds

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo received (or expect) government tariff refunds after a court ruled the tariffs illegal — but are fighting class-action suits and arguing they don’t have to give that money back to consumers.
The companies say consumers “got what they paid for” and that price hikes reflected many factors (supply chain, inflation, etc.), while big retailers like Walmart and Costco say they’ll lower prices for affected shoppers.
Sony expects about ¥80 billion (~$510M) in refunds and Nintendo recorded $300M; Microsoft hasn’t disclosed its amount — so gamers are unlikely to see tariff money returned.
