Elusive cat found one year after second escape

Stan the cat escaped his foster home within 24 hours and then spent a year evading traps, cameras and would‑be catchers around Cumbria.
He was finally found 13 miles away after turning up in a family’s house, was scanned for a microchip — and volunteers “burst into tears.”
Now being nursed back at Eden Animal Rescue, the hungry, friendly bin‑raider may be adopted by the family who found him.
