Iran and US hit tankers in biggest wave of attacks on shipping since war began

Iran and the U.S. have traded strikes around the Strait of Hormuz — Tehran says it hit 10 ships after Washington sank five Iranian tankers and fired missiles at a base in Jordan.
Oil prices jumped above $100 a barrel and U.S. diesel hit a record high (~$5.94/gal) as shipping through the strait is being disrupted.
Fighting has also escalated between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi rebels, with massive fires at Saudi oil facilities visible from space.
