Ukraine halts strikes on tankers using Russian port at US request, FT says

Ukraine paused drone strikes on oil tankers at the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk after a request from U.S. Vice President JD Vance, according to the Financial Times.
Kyiv agreed not to target Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) infrastructure or non‑Russian vessels unless they’re under Ukrainian sanctions or carrying Russian oil.
The strikes had cut up to about 20% of CPC oil loadings in July, denting Kazakhstan’s output and affecting Western oil firms like Chevron and Exxon.
