Is It Coaching, Talent, Or Money? For Deion Sanders And Colorado, It’s All Three

Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders has reignited excitement at Colorado — bigger crowds, high-profile donors and renewed national attention.
The on-field results haven’t followed: Sanders is 18-24 at CU, the team is 2-3 this season after a 29-7 loss to Texas Tech, plagued by quarterback woes, turnovers and penalties.
Funding and NIL drama loom large — boosters like Rob Wilhite help, players keep getting poached, and even a powerful rival regent (Texas Tech’s Cody Campbell) publicly admires Sanders.
