Liverpool airport to raise drop-off charge to £7

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is increasing the express drop-off charge from £6 to £7 from 1 September for stays of up to 10 minutes.
The fee applies to black cabs and private hires (who typically pass it on to passengers); the airport says some drivers might stop working there but doesn’t expect disruption and will help arrange alternatives if needed.
The airport cites higher rates, energy, National Insurance and wages as reasons for the rise, saying parking revenue funds improvements — there is a free 20‑minute drop-off car park about a 10‑minute walk from the terminal.
