Judge blocks US decision to add WuXi to list of firms tied to Chinese military

A U.S. judge blocked the Defense Department from labeling Chinese biotech WuXi AppTec as supporting Beijing’s military, saying there wasn’t enough evidence.
The designation already caused real harm—customers and suppliers canceled contracts and shifted business, prompting WuXi to sue.
WuXi says it employs about 450 people in the U.S., serves over 1,000 U.S. customers (many in pharma) and gets roughly 70% of its revenue from U.S. clients.
