Putin allows Russia to take control of infrastructure deemed vulnerable to drone attacks

Putin authorised the state to temporarily take over critically important infrastructure deemed poorly protected against Ukrainian drone attacks and other threats.
The state can assume physical and financial assets and management rights to speed repairs and bolster security, though officials say it is not nationalisation.
The measure follows recent strikes on oil refineries and major online retailers’ warehouses (Wildberries, Ozon) and accompanies a government rebuilding programme.
