Japanese city captures bear that caused fear and school closures

A wild bear triggered several days of panic in Utsunomiya north of Tokyo, leading the city to close all schools and issue safety warnings.
Authorities used a drone to track the animal, and a veterinarian tranquilized it on private property — no one was hurt.
The incident fits a bigger trend of bears moving into populated areas in Japan; the government estimates about 57,800 bears and is planning population management.
