Ukraine lined its roads with enough anti-drone netting this year to cover the length of Florida
- Ukraine has installed about 510 miles of anti-drone netting on frontline roads this year — more than the north–south length of Florida, creating long tunnel-like protections.
- The pace has accelerated to roughly 5.2 miles of netting laid per day (up from 2.4), and about 720 miles in the past two years — roughly the distance between New York City and Chicago.
- Much of the mesh is repurposed farming or fishing net donated by Western allies; it’s a cheap, effective way to snag small attack drones, though breaches can still occur.
