Pope Leo XIV unveils a fresco at the sanctuary where he prayed after his election last year

Pope Leo XIV returned to the Genazzano sanctuary and unveiled a fresco showing him praying there.
He first visited just two days after his 2025 election and wrote of a lifelong devotion to the Madonna of Good Counsel.
The Vatican is ramping up activity — Leo will travel to France soon and plans visits to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru in November.
