- Eastern Illinois visits Iowa Friday, Nov. 6 (8:30 p.m. ET) at Carver‑Hawkeye Arena — a classic early-season David vs. Goliath vibe.
- Panthers are mostly new: senior PG Miller (led Division II with 8.3 APG) makes his Division I debut and NAIA star Devin Davenport (20.3 ppg) will be relied on to score and draw fouls.
- Iowa counters with floor‑spacing and size — 6'8" Koch stretches the defense from deep while bigs like Manyawu (and 7'3" McKeever) should control the paint; watch Koch’s early 3s and first‑half rebounds.
