Drink-driving GP suspended for further six months

A Liverpool GP crashed into parked cars and a wall in July 2023 while almost four times over the drink‑drive limit and was convicted.
A medical tribunal initially suspended him for six months; that suspension has now been extended to 12 months after he failed to engage with regulators or show insight.
He reportedly attended work and even carried out a telephone consultation while intoxicated, and did not inform the General Medical Council of his conviction.
