New Zealand to raise lawmakers' travel ban directly with China, PM Luxon says

China banned four New Zealand MPs (three centre‑right backbenchers and one Labour lawmaker) for a year after they visited Taiwan, sparking diplomatic fallout.
PM Christopher Luxon called the ban "entirely inappropriate" and will raise it directly with Beijing, with Australia also signalling it will press China on the move.
