Shohei Ohtani Throws Bullpen Session And Moves Closer To Return To Mound

Shohei Ohtani threw a short (~20-pitch) bullpen Friday and could be considered for a return to the mound Sunday after discussions with staff.
He hasn’t pitched since July 3 due to a left knee injury but owns an 8–2 record with a 1.79 ERA and 95 strikeouts this season.
Ohtani continues to hit as the Dodgers’ DH, batting .285 with 30 homers and 80 RBIs.
