Bid to free lorry trapped under railway bridge

Just after 11:00 a lorry got wedged under the old railway bridge on Huntington Road into York and crews are working to recover it.
The road is closed both ways (between Haleys Terrace and Park Grove) with local diversions in place — drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
No-one was injured; highways engineers will inspect the bridge once the lorry has been removed.
