Normal service to resume on derailment train line
- Greater Anglia expects normal service to resume on Wednesday 26 August after the 14 August derailment at Wickford.
- Repairs are extensive: more than 3,700 sleepers need replacing over about 1.5 miles, and the first new sleepers and track sections are already being installed.
- No-one was injured, the train remained upright and has been removed; a replacement bus runs between Wickford and Southminster until 28 August.
