Colorado man who was free on bond in wife's alleged killing is jailed after hit-and-run

Barry Morphew, out on a $3 million bond in his wife's suspected killing, was arrested after prosecutors say he caused a hit-and-run while in Denver — reportedly during a trip to Denver International Airport.
Prosecutors say that airport trip (possibly to pick up his daughter) violated bond terms that barred travel away from his southern Colorado home except for work.
Suzanne Morphew’s skeletal remains were found in 2023; prosecutors allege traces of a wildlife tranquilizer in her bones and say Barry had unique access to those chemicals — he has pleaded not guilty and faces trial next summer.
