Harry Kane Becomes First English Player To Win Ballon d'Or In 25 Years

Harry Kane won the Ballon d’Or — the first English winner since Michael Owen in 2001 and only the fifth Englishman ever to take the prize.
He had a monster season for Bayern (61 goals) and 73 goals overall, claimed a second European Golden Shoe and helped Bayern win multiple domestic trophies.
As England captain he scored six World Cup goals and helped the Three Lions finish third — their best result since 1966.
