WHO says Ebola outbreak in Uganda is over, as cases rise in Congo

Uganda’s Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak is over — the country had 20 cases and 2 deaths and the WHO confirmed no missed chains of transmission.
The situation in neighbouring DR Congo remains severe, with about 5,600 cases and 2,700+ deaths and transmission still “very active” despite some progress.
WHO says the virus shows no signs of mutation but warns a $30 million funding gap for logistics and PPE could stall the response.
