- Sunday in Houston: 0-3 Texans host 1-2 Cowboys (Oct. 4) in what should be a close, carry-on-the-rivalry type game.
- Key players to watch — rookie QB C.J. Stroud (big yardage, no INTs) vs. Dak Prescott and hot WR CeeDee Lamb; edge rusher Will Anderson has been a true disruptive force.
- Betting/edge talk: Houston is a 3-point favorite (moneyline -159, total 48); look for Dallas to try to exploit a big third-down advantage vs. a Texans defense that's struggled in that area.
