Putin says Russia will start seizing European vessels if its ships targeted

Putin warned Russia will retaliate if European countries seize Russian merchant ships, calling such moves "piracy" and saying reprisals could occur wherever Russia deems fit.
The commander of Russia's Pacific Fleet said forces are ready to inspect and detain vessels from "unfriendly" states and claim they have tracked routes, cargos and ownership tied to those ships.
Russia accused the EU's Operation Irini of unlawful, intimidating inspections after European-led boardings of tankers linked to Moscow's so‑called "shadow fleet."
