Owners of older iPhones just got some good news

iOS 27 will add an advanced CPU scheduler to iPhones as old as the iPhone 11, so older devices should feel snappier during heavy use.
The iPhone 11 (2019) is set to receive iOS 27 — giving it roughly seven years of major updates, well beyond many Android competitors.
Several new Apple Intelligence/Siri features will still need newer hardware (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max or later; the most advanced features require iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, or newer).
