Son guilty of leaving mum to die in bathroom

Son convicted of manslaughter after his 74-year-old mother lay on their bathroom floor for about two weeks without receiving help.
Emergency services were only called when her condition visibly worsened; she was taken to hospital and later died.
Prosecutors said he made multiple trips to buy alcohol and withdrew cash from her account during that period; he was found guilty and will be sentenced in September.
