Jeff Gordon Sweeps IROC Races In D.C. As INDYCAR's Freedom 250 Appetizer

Jeff Gordon swept both short IROC exhibition races on the streets of Washington, D.C., as a lead-in to INDYCAR’s Freedom 250 on Sunday.
The 10-lap races in Pontiac Firebirds featured a star-studded field — former NASCAR stars (Rusty Wallace, Bill Elliott, Bobby Labonte, Kurt Busch) and INDYCAR names (Tony Kanaan, Hélio Castroneves).
Gordon called the event “a blast” and a special, nostalgic honor — even coming from the rear to win the second race and leaving with a big smile.
