Woman accused of killing baby told 999 call she 'turned purple'

A woman in Aberdeen is on trial accused of allegedly causing her three-month-old daughter's death by exposing her to heat from a hairdryer; a 999 call recording has her saying the baby was "purple" and not breathing.
Prosecutors say the mother was intoxicated and had taken drugs while in sole charge of the infant, and that the home was unsanitary; a neighbour had earlier found the baby cold.
The case, which includes charges of culpable homicide and wilful neglect, is ongoing at the High Court in Aberdeen.
