Tourettes feels like 'trying not to blink'

Freya, 9, says living with Tourette's is like "trying not to blink for a long time" — a simple analogy she uses to explain her involuntary tics.
After two years of tics and a delayed/misdiagnosis, she was diagnosed in March and even hand-delivered a letter to the prime minister asking for better support.
She competes nationally in gymnastics and has strong support from her school friends and teachers, who help her raise awareness and feel included.
