Frustration as street left without water for 11 days

Five houses on Mere Road in Waltham on the Wolds have been without running water for 11 days after a nearby pipe leak.
The outage is making chemotherapy patient Michael’s care much harder — hygiene, hydration and home medical needs are affected, so family members have been driving him for baths and washing clothes.
Severn Trent and Melton Borough Council say they’ve located the leak and are working to restore supplies, but residents complain only bottled water and slow communication have been provided.
