Strange symptom leads to man's Stage IV cancer diagnosis
- A bout of COVID-related double vision led to scans that unexpectedly found Stage IV kidney cancer and widespread metastasis on his 57th birthday.
- He went through aggressive treatment — immunotherapy, radiation and brain surgery (including a 10-week medically induced coma) — and his tumors have since shrunk.
- Now on maintenance therapy, he’s doing well, focused on family milestones, volunteering, and grateful for the care that’s kept the cancer in check.
