Arson arrest as kittens saved in town centre blaze

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson over an early-morning fire at a derelict High Street building in Tunstall and released on conditional bail while investigations continue.
Four kittens were rescued from the blaze and there were no reported injuries.
Roads around the site were closed during the incident, and experts say parts of the building will need demolishing.
