Honda recalls more than 880,000 cars due to a problem with rear suspension components
- Honda is recalling about 880,000 vehicles — 2016–2022 Pilot, 2017–2023 Ridgeline, 2019–2023 Passport and 2014–2020 Acura MDX — because rear subframe corrosion can cause suspension failure and loss of control.
- Honda estimates only about 1% actually have the defect and says there have been no warranty claims or reports of injury so far.
- Dealers will inspect and install reinforcement kits or repair/replace parts for free; owners will be notified by mail in July and VINs will be searchable on NHTSA.gov starting June 10.
