Pensioner jailed after sitting on neighbour and beating him to death over noise row

A 67-year-old pensioner has been jailed for a minimum of 12½ years after murdering his neighbour following a long-running noise dispute.
The 68-year-old victim died on Christmas Day at his sheltered accommodation, and his family say Christmas will “never be a joyful time” again.
The attacker recorded the confrontation and later told a relative he thought he may have killed someone; the judge described the assault as “angry, callous and cruel.”
