Justice Department seizes more than $560,000 in cryptocurrency donations for Hamas

FBI seized more than $560,000 in cryptocurrency meant for Hamas and said it disrupted the group's fundraising operation.
Agents also took control of websites, communication channels and data on thousands who had contacted Hamas to donate.
Officials noted Hamas had solicited crypto via Telegram since about 2019, underscoring that digital currency fundraising can be traced and intercepted.
