Rubio: no change in US policy on Taiwan

Secretary of State Marco Rubio reaffirmed there is no change in U.S. policy on Taiwan — Washington wants the current status quo preserved.
He told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee the relationship is delicate but the U.S. remains committed to its existing approach.
The reassurance follows concerns in Taipei after last month’s Trump‑Xi summit about Washington’s commitment to Taiwan’s defense.
