J.J. McCarthy States Desire To Remain With Vikings After Kyler Murray Signing

J.J. McCarthy says he’s staying put in Minnesota and didn’t ask for a trade after the Vikings signed Kyler Murray this offseason.
He had a bumpy 2025 debut as a starter — 1,632 yards, 11 TDs, 12 INTs, missed seven games with injuries — as the team slipped to 9-8 and missed the playoffs.
The QB room is crowded (Murray plus Carson Wentz), but McCarthy insists he’ll compete in camp and believes he can thrive in Kevin O’Connell’s system.
