US Air Force flight to Antarctica turns back after space activity warning
- A US Air Force C-17 bound for McMurdo Station in Antarctica turned back to Christchurch after New Zealand issued a NOTAM warning of "potentially hazardous" space activity.
- The warning came after Russia notified NZ of a planned missile launch inside New Zealand's huge Oceanic Flight Information Region, during the busy WINFLY resupply period.
