Chinese, US militaries had constructive meeting in Hawaii last week, Chinese Navy says

China and U.S. military representatives met in Hawaii for "candid and constructive" talks focused on air and maritime safety.
Both sides agreed better communication can reduce miscalculations and improve professionalism at sea and in the air.
The meeting follows the recent Xi–Trump summit and signals a somewhat calmer U.S.–China military tone, even as tensions over Taiwan remain.
