Brewers Trio Joins Rare Company With WBC, World Series Titles In Same Year

Milwaukee clinched the World Series with a 4–1 Game 5 win over the Rays — the Brewers’ first championship since 1982.
Jackson Chourio, William Contreras and Antonio Senzatela became only the third–fifth players ever to win a World Baseball Classic and the World Series in the same calendar year.
Those players were part of Venezuela’s first-ever WBC title in March, making 2026 a huge year for Venezuelan baseball.
