Search goes on to get oldest pub back on tap

Northampton's 16th‑century Old Black Lion — a Grade II‑listed pub — has had a £3.5m restoration but hasn't served customers since 2018.
The Churches Conservation Trust and West Northamptonshire Council have revived the building (the CCT moved its national office in) and preserved original features, even reusing Market Square cobbles.
A planned brewery operator pulled out, so organisers are still advertising for a new operator and the full reopening has been delayed — a local spot to keep an eye on.
