Neymar Not Traveling With Brazil For Friendly vs. Egypt Due To Calf Injury

Neymar won’t travel to Cleveland for Brazil’s exhibition vs. Egypt and is staying in New Jersey for treatment of a calf injury.
Team doctor said the injury could sideline him 2–3 weeks, so it’s uncertain if he’ll be fit for Brazil’s June 13 World Cup opener vs. Morocco (FIFA allows a late replacement).
Defender Marquinhos was named Brazil’s captain and said he feels honored and focused on leadership for the squad.
