Iran rejects idea of using its assets to pay damages to US allies

The U.S. is reportedly considering using frozen Iranian assets to help Gulf allies pay for rebuilding and past war damage.
Iran says its assets are "neither war spoils nor a payment fund," calling any seizure wrongful and warning it would respond; Tehran is also seeking the release of some funds in talks to end the war.
Iran recently launched missiles and drones at U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain (most were intercepted); a report estimates regional energy-related repair costs could reach about $58 billion.
