US Supreme Court won't halt $655 million judgment against Palestinians over attacks

Justice Sonia Sotomayor refused to pause a $655.5 million judgment against the Palestinian Authority and PLO while they appeal, leaving the award in place for now.
The suit, over attacks that killed or injured Americans in Israel from 2002–2004, was revived after Congress passed a 2019 law that the Supreme Court later upheld.
Palestinian leaders warn enforcing the judgment could drain funds collected by Israel for the West Bank and seriously disrupt local services and stability.
