Still Perfect: 3 Takeaways As 49ers Grind Out Victory Over Broncos To Remain Undefeated

49ers beat the Broncos 24-14 to go 4-0 — Brock Purdy’s been MVP-level, but San Francisco’s defense was the star, holding Denver to one touchdown and 296 yards.
Deebo Samuel has slipped back into a playmaking “wide-back” role (70 scrimmage yards, TD) while vets George Kittle and Mike Evans also made key plays.
Big worry for Denver: CB Patrick Surtain II exited with a right ankle injury (non-contact) and Riley Moss left with rib trouble — major blows to that defense.
