Shohei Ohtani Not In Dodgers Lineup vs. Cardinals After 0-4 Outing

Shohei Ohtani sat out after an 0-for-4 and a visibly altered swing; the Dodgers are weighing a day off because of lingering left-knee and right-biceps issues.
The team is unsure if he’ll pitch again this season — he hasn’t thrown in a game since July 3, did a 20-pitch bullpen recently but was later scratched; he was 8-2 with a 1.79 ERA before being shut down.
Manager Dave Roberts says Ohtani “hasn’t been who he is” lately; Ohtani hasn’t spoken to media in two weeks and position changes (like moving to the outfield) aren’t on the table now.
