- Ohio State’s Smith sits atop the board as the class’s best offensive prospect — a rare blend of size, speed and route-running that draws comparisons to Julio Jones.
- Texas’s Simmons is the runaway defensive star on production alone (45.5 TFL, 31.5 sacks), though a recent high-ankle sprain and penalty issues cloud his stock.
- The 2027 board is defined by transfers and versatility — lots of linemen, edge rushers and explosive skill players moving schools (and chasing NIL dollars); Oregon’s Mensah is even the midseason Heisman favorite at QB.
