Rapist police officer accused of earlier attack - but case was dropped

Former Police Scotland officer Cameron Ross was jailed for 10 years after being convicted of raping two women and subjecting a third to years of abusive behaviour.
He had faced a separate rape allegation 12 years earlier that prosecutors dropped, allowing him to continue working as an officer for several more years.
Victims say they were denied justice; Police Scotland and prosecutors have apologised and say they recognise the lasting impact and have changed how sexual offences are handled.
